Boat Ramps - Buxton
Buxton Ramp
The Village of Buxton on the Northern Bank of the Burrum River is accessed off the Bruce Highway just south of Childers.
The ramp is a two lane all tide, all weather ramp allowing easy access to the lower reaches of the Burrum and is famous for the Buxton Hole. There are no queuing facilities and there can be strong cross currents across the ramp as it faces into the stream.
There are good picnic facilities with toilet and barbecue, adequate parking and a convenience store nearby.
